Step into a magical world of creativity at this Paint & Sew kids camp inspired by a beloved trio of young wizards from a legendary wizarding school.
On day 1, campers will paint and sew a character plushie: Harry, Hermione, or Ron. (Character choice may be different for each.)
On day 2, campers will bring the magic to life by painting Hedwig. For the sewing project, they will stitch one matching plush creature of their choice: Hedwig, or Crookshanks.
This camp is perfect for kids who love fantasy, storytelling, and hands-on creativity. Each child will have completed 2 paintings and 2 handmade plushies of their favorite characters, worthy of any magical academy. 🪄✨
PREREQUISITE: None. Beginners ages 7+ are welcome. 6-year olds who can focus and follow directions well may join. The Sewing Machine Basics will be included in the camp ($15 savings)
DATE/S: Mon, Tues, June 22 and 23 (2 days)
TIME: 9:30a-12:30pm each day
SEWING PROJECTS:Day 1: (1) choice of character plushie (Harry, Ron, Hermione)
Day 2: (1) choice of Hedwig or Crookshanks plushie
PAINTING PROJECTS:
Day 1: (1) character canvas painting (Choose between Harry, Hermione, or Ron)
The sewing project and painting project do not have to be the same.
Day 2: (1) Hedwig canvas painting
WHAT'S INCLUDED: 3 hours per day of instruction, 6 hours total. Sewing Machine Basics, all project materials & supplies, use of sewing studio and sewing tools.
SNACK BREAK: Bring a nut-free snack & beverage, if desired.
Sewing Machine Basics included:
The Sewing Machine Basics prerequisite is for any student who has never taken a class at A Sewing Studio and any past student who has not returned to the studio within the last 6 months. This crash-course will teach the sewing machine basics & include some sewing exercises to prepare you for the camp.
Sewing projects & fabrics may be replaced with similar ones without notice.
They will all still be absolutely cute, of course!

- This is a strictly drop-off type of activity. Only enrolled campers are allowed in the studio during camp time.
- All sewing projects are made using a sewing machine.
- Open to children ages 6+.
- Boys are also welcome to join. If applicable, masculine fabric or alternative project may be used.
- All supplies are included. For sewing, most fabric is pre-cut for faster completion.
- We will make every effort to support campers in completing all projects. Please note that completion may vary based on individual ability and time management, and not all projects are guaranteed to be finished during class time.
- Some projects may be replaced with similar ones without notice. Fabrics will vary.
