Kids Paint & Sew Workshop: Pet-Themed Creations
In this creative, hands-on workshop, kids will paint a pre-designed image inspired by their very own pet, bringing their furry friend to life on canvas. After painting, participants will switch gears to sewing as they create a decorative, paw-shaped pillow—complete with the option to personalize it with their pet’s name (+$5).
For pet's name, please indicate in the "Add Note for A Sewing Studio" field during checkout.
To help us prepare each child’s custom design, a clear photo of your child’s pet must be emailed to asewingstudio@gmail.com ASAP.
This workshop is designed to build confidence, creativity, and basic sewing skills in a fun, supportive environment. Each child leaves with two custom projects they can proudly display at home.
Please note: The paw-shaped pillow is intended for decorative use only and is not a toy.
PREREQUISITE: None. Beginners ages 7+ are welcome. The Sewing Machine Basics will be included in the camp ($15 savings)

SEWING PROJECT:

WHAT'S INCLUDED: 2.5 total hours
of instruction, Sewing Machine Basics, all project materials & supplies, use of sewing studio and sewing tools.
SNACK BREAK: Bring a nut-free snack & beverage, if desired.
Sewing Machine Basics included:
The Sewing Machine Basics prerequisite is for any student who has never taken a class at A Sewing Studio and any past student who has not returned to the studio within the last 6 months. This crash-course will teach the sewing machine basics & include some sewing exercises to prepare you for the camp.
Sewing projects & fabrics may be replaced with similar ones without notice.

- This is a strictly drop-off type of activity. Only enrolled students are allowed in the studio during camp time.
- All sewing projects are made using a sewing machine.
- Open to children ages 7-16.
- Boys are also welcome to join. If applicable, masculine fabric or alternative project may be used.
- All supplies are included. For sewing, fabric is pre-cut for efficient completion.
- Every effort will be made to have campers complete all projects. However, since this will vary based on the child's ability and time management, we cannot guarantee that all the projects will be done within class time.
- Some projects may be replaced with similar ones without notice. Fabrics will vary.
