Unlock your child’s creativity with our Kids’ Intensive Sewing Course, a hands-on program designed for young aspiring crafters and makers! This immersive course covers everything from basic stitches to exciting projects, ensuring kids build confidence and independence at the sewing machine.
This is a snippet of our popular weekly sewing program.
Perfect for beginners (ages 8 and over) or those with some experience, this fast-paced course blends skill-building, fostering patience, problem-solving, and creativity. By the end of the program, kids will proudly take home their handmade creations and the skills to keep sewing!
Supplies will be an additional cost. Parents will given a supply list to shop for and bring to the camp.
AGES: Kids 8 and over
PREREQUISITE: None. Beginners ages 8+ are welcome. The Sewing Machine Basics will be included in the camp ($15 savings). It will be taught on the first day of the camp.
DATE/S: Mon, Tue, Wed, July 6, 7, and 8 (3 days)
TIME: 10:00am-12:00pm each day
WHAT THEY'LL LEARN:
- Familiarity with the sewing machine, how to safely use it, & how to thread it
- Cut sewing patterns, pin to fabric, and cut fabric according to pattern instructions
- Read and comprehend written sewing instructions
- The entire process of project assembly & creation from start to finish
PROJECTS:
- Tote Bag
- Apron
- Shorts to fit child
Supplies are not included. Parents will be emailed a supply list for all projects. As an option, supplies may be provided for an additional cost ($45) and will be given during the camp.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- 6 total hours of camp time & instruction
- hardcopies of step-by-step instructions
- hardcopies of all sewing patterns
- use of sewing studio and sewing tools.
There is an option to purchase the supplies during this sign-up. It will be provided during camp.

Sewing Intensive Course, July 6-8, 10a-12pm (3 days, 6 hrs)
THIS CAMP WILL BE CANCELED IF THE MINIMUM OF 6 STUDENTS IS NOT REACHED.

- This is a strictly drop-off type of activity. Only enrolled campers are allowed in the studio during camp time.
- All sewing projects are made using a sewing machine.
- Open to children ages 7-16.
- Boys are also welcome to join. If applicable, masculine fabric or alternative project may be used.
- All supplies are included, unless otherwise noted. For sewing, most fabric is pre-cut for faster completion.
- We will make every effort to support campers in completing all projects. Please note that completion may vary based on individual ability and time management, and not all projects are guaranteed to be finished during class time.
- Some projects may be replaced with similar ones without notice. Fabrics will vary.
