Blast off into an out-of-this-world creative adventure! In this Paint & Sew summer camp, campers will be inspired by a mischievous blue alien and his kind-hearted island friend as they explore art and sewing through playful, hands-on projects. Campers will begin by painting an expressive alien-inspired artwork, learning basic painting techniques, color mixing, and creative design, then bring that character to life by sewing their choice of soft plush companion (Stitch or Angel) using kid-friendly patterns and step-by-step guidance. Along the way, they’ll practice foundational sewing skills in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Perfect for kids who love creativity, storytelling, and crafting, this camp is beginner-friendly with all materials included. By the end of camp, each child will go home with a painted masterpiece, a one-of-a-kind handmade plush, and memories of a summer adventure that’s truly out of this world.
PREREQUISITE: None. Beginners ages 7+ are welcome. The Sewing Machine Basics will be included in the camp ($15 savings)

of instruction, Sewing Machine Basics, all project materials & supplies, use of sewing studio and sewing tools.
SNACK BREAK: Bring a nut-free snack & beverage, if desired.
Sewing Machine Basics included:
The Sewing Machine Basics prerequisite is for any student who has never taken a class at A Sewing Studio and any past student who has not returned to the studio within the last 6 months. This crash-course will teach the sewing machine basics & include some sewing exercises to prepare you for the camp.
Sewing projects & fabrics may be replaced with similar ones without notice.

THIS CAMP WILL BE CANCELED IF THE MINIMUM OF 6 STUDENTS IS NOT REACHED.

- This is a strictly drop-off type of activity. Only enrolled students are allowed in the studio during camp time.
- All sewing projects are made using a sewing machine.
- Open to children ages 7-16.
- Boys are also welcome to join. If applicable, masculine fabric or alternative project may be used.
- All supplies are included. For sewing, fabric is pre-cut for efficient completion.
- We will make every effort to support campers in completing all projects. Please note that completion may vary based on individual ability and time management, and not all projects are guaranteed to be finished during class time.
- Some projects may be replaced with similar ones without notice. Fabrics will vary.
