My daughter has gained basic knowledge of sewing and has gained a comfort level on a sewing machine. In addition, she is gaining confidence reading a pattern and producing a final, beautiful product. Students have the ability to work on their own projects, at their own pace. The first year workbook is fabulous. Projects are all practical and my daughter loves wearing her own creations!
My daughter is looking forward to participating in one-day workshop and summer camp!

"Ally was intimidated by our sewing machine at home, but really wanted to learn to sew. After her first class with Valerie, she received her "license to sew" and her confidence went through the roof. Ally has learned that by following steps and completing them patiently, she can accomplish something she thought was very difficult. She just beams after each lesson with Valerie!
Ally felt included from her very first class. Since she started her lessons later in the school year, I was concerned that she would feel intimidated by the other students in her class. In fact, the opposite was true! She ended up feeling more confident seeing what the other students were working on during class. Valerie is very patient and explained not only "what" Ally needed to do, but also "why" she needed to do it.
Valerie is amazing, wonderful, patient--the list goes on and on!! She has really encouraged my daughter!
